Wedding photography, Eau Claire- WI – Jessica + Steve

October was such a beautiful month. Each wedding I photographed, the weather was bright and warm. Jessica & Steve had a perfect day. The sun was bright, the flowers were beautiful, and they had hired a wedding planner Angela, (eventful-occassions), so they could just enjoy the day. They also had their reception at the Florian Gardens. Make sure to check out the photos of the tables. Jessica picked the  most stunning centerpieces! Loved also that she incorporated deep purple/black cala lilies and love the bling on the stem of her bouquet.

Taylor + Zach – Eau Claire wedding photographer

Gosh, I loved photographing this wedding. Great weather, loved the church, and the bride, Taylor styled it perfectly. It was elegant and very fitting to the locations they chose. We started at the church and did the majority of the photos right there or across the street at a little park. The light at this park was hands down the best light I’ve had this year. I was oooo-ing and awwhhh-ing over every picture I took. Yes, I realize I obsessed over photographing Taylor, but how could I not? She looked stunning. Cathedral length veils are my absolute favorite. Brent Douglas created her flower arrangements. She just told him to do his thing….and he did it. Beautifully! I love it when brides just trust the artist they’ve hired and leave it to them to put their talent to work.

Taylor also had Vera Wang shoes. I want need these flats! Thanks guys, for giving us the biggest laugh of the year. Seriously, we had tears streaming down our faces, it was that funny!

Ben + Rachel [Eau Claire Wedding Photographer]

Ben and Rachel……we had so much fun at your wedding. We still talk about it. I know it took place in Northern Wisconsin, but every location we stopped at, seemed to be somewhere other than here and I loved it.  Thanks to the boys for showing up at Phoenix park at 8:45 a.m. (that’s right!) dressed and ready to get photographed.  Thanks to the girls for all being so nice and so fun (not to mention photogenic!)  Ben and Rachel were so great. They showed up knowing how I photograph and what to expect. They did a first look and it was awesome. They allowed enough time to knock out most of the photos before the ceremony, so afterwards, they could have fun and enjoy their wedding.  Rachel also sat on the ground in her dress and it did not get dirty. I love her for it! Congrats guys. I hope married life is treating you well.

Gina + Jordan – Eau Claire wedding photographer

Gina is one sweet girl. I met her and her fiance at a restaurant sometime last year and we immediately hit it off. I was soooo excited when they booked. A little while later when Gina called me to work together on a gift for her fiance, Jordan, we really got to know each other.  She is one awesome, laid back girl. And she trusted my judgment and ability as a photographer- which translates into better pictures.  All our projects together look great. Not sure how they couldn’t though. This couple is gorgeous inside and out. Loved their wedding and cannot wait to work with them again in the future! XOXO

p.s – she hired a videographer that shoots with the same camera I have. The video quality is amazing. Check out the link here!

Sarah + Steve – Cadott wedding photography

I could type paragraph upon paragraph about Sarah & Steve. I just think they are wonderful people, wonderful together.  They planned a wedding true to them…at home, in their own yard with their closest friends and family.  If you have ever planned a wedding you would know it’s a full-time job, but planning a wedding AT HOME is that much work and much, much more.  I sort of expected to arrive the day of their wedding and see Sarah at her wits end.  Instead I saw her looking busy, but happy and ready to get married! We enjoyed every minute of this wedding and I so so loved that she personalized seemingly normal details with that of her & Steve’s history.  For instance……..do you notice this totally unique bouquet? Sarah’s best friend made it out of bits and pieces of Sarah’s past.  Favorite clothes, pins, earrings and even an ornament of her first car.

Have I ever mentioned I LOVE cap sleeves? Sarah had hers added to what was a strapless dress and it turned out perfect!

Jenna + Ben – Minocqua Wi wedding photography

Jenna & Ben have been together since they were kids.  They used to carpool together to school before they realized they liked each other.  They have that kind of fluidity when they move together that you just know they’ve been together for so long, it’s natural to them.  Their wedding day was bright and sunny and in a beautiful area in Wisconsin. Minocqua is a favorite vacation spot for Jenna’s family so it was there they said their I do’s.

Future Brides take note: Jenna is sitting in the grass before the ceremony and her dress did not get dirty!

Jenna is also a graphic designer and is currently working on a new logo for me! You can check out her work here:

althea + levi – eau claire wedding photography

i feel like I need to apologize to my blog for neglecting it lately. random post here and there, but not the consistency i had hoped for. i think (hope) next time this year i will have a life-saving assistant who can help me keep up with work. ahhhh but for now i can only dream.  while i’ve been up to my ears in editing, i’ve started pulling some of my favorites from this simple, beautiful, romantic wedding. althea and levi were married on a friday, beginning at her parents home, moving on to their local church and then finishing up at metropolis resort in eau claire. i cannot begin to explain how much i loved althea’s dress. if you really know me, you know i love tulle. it’s flowing, fun, light & airy looking and well you don’t see it very often which makes me love it more.  their day was really very nice, very enjoyable. i can’t wait to design this wedding album!

my former wedding client, hannah who is a very talented writer said in a blogpost that i’m known for spinning-in-the-dress shots. i do so so love taking them and editing them. a little bit of pure girly fun!
