Lara & Mike – Eau Claire, WI wedding photographer

Lara & Mike are getting married this coming May and I was excited to finally meet them at their engagement session! I love both of their looks, Lara with her pale blonde hair and green eyes …. Mike with his dark skin and hair. They really compliment each other photographically… and in real life too.   This was just a great session, looking forward to their wedding!

Kayla & Troy- the proposal

I have never photographed a proposal. ever.  Of course I wanted to, but have never been given the opportunity until I talked to my friend, Troy, who happens to be dating my sister-in-law, Kayla. I mentioned to him I should take some photos of them together, just for fun, and he mentioned he should propose during the shoot. Huh? WHAT!  GREAT IDEA.  I told Kayla I wanted to take their pictures, she said yes, asked Troy if he would, and he said yes : ). We were set to shoot on Sunday morning.  Kayla picked the location, Troy told me to stall and shoot for about 20 minutes before he got down on one knee, and the rest is history. They are happy, engaged, and have photos to prove it! I’m so happy I could be there for two amazing people who mean so much to me and my family!  Love and happiness to you both xoxoxo

A few people have asked me why she had her back to him. Well, in order to set up the shoot, I just told Kayla to stand there and look toward the trees. Just as she did, Troy got down on one knee and took it from there. I stayed way back and clicked my camera away without disturbing that moment.

LOVE this shot below. Real happiness.

Kayla’s sister, Brooke, was waiting in the parking lot to run up and surprise her. Love this shot of sisterly love!

Jenna + Matt – engaged

Jenna and Matt are getting married next June.  I am already missing the warmth of sessions a few weeks ago. Why does winter have to come so fast? I’m looking forward to their wedding because they are so darn cute together and Matt has a huge family, so it should make for some fun family photos!

I’m so bummed! I came back to this spot and that nice backdrop of green foliage you can see in this photo (below) has been cut down.  Why do people insist on ruining beautiful things?!

Kayla + Mike – engaged

This  gorgeous couple and their pretty daughter, Sophia (don’t you love her name?!) met me in Chippewa Falls for their engagement session. They will be married in a couple weeks and I am really looking forward to it.   They’re a very photogenic family and I just looooooovveee Kayla’s long dark hair…. hopefully these photos will convince her to not chop it off after her wedding 🙂

Megan + Brad

Megan & Brad are a sweet couple together. We enjoyed a cloudy morning taking photos and chatting about their wedding plans. Megan is designing a vintage-inspired wedding to take place in southern Wisconsin and I cannot wait to see it all pulled together.

Mallory & Justin – Chippewa Falls engagement session

I’m excited for Mallory & Justin’s upcoming wedding for two reasons…..they are so fun and cute together I just know it will be a blast and Brent and I will finally have plans on NYE!! Their engagement pictures were taken in Chippewa Falls, during the best light of the evening. Mallory even found the railroad tracks for us to finish up at before it got dark.  Have a great weekend!

P.S. Don’t forget to stop by and see us at the Florian Gardens this Sunday from 3-5 during their engagement party!

Emilee + Mike – engaged

Emilee + Mike will be married next June and I think we’re all crossing our fingers for a tad cooler day thane had for their engagement session. We started early morning, before it reached nearly 100 degrees! I was excited to meet them, especially Emilee who’s name spelling I wont’ ever forget. It’s not that common to be a Jodee with two E’s and meet an Emilee with two E’s as well!

Amber + Aaron – engaged

I met this happy couple in Chippewa Falls & Lake Altoona to photograph their engagement.  It was a perfect evening and we had fun chatting about their wedding and Amber’s sisters upcoming wedding that I’m photographing this fall. Looking forward to seeing them again then!

Their dog was young and energetic and so much fun to add to some of the photos!

Stacie + Chris – engagement

Stacie & Chris are getting married this coming January, and I was so glad to meet them this summer and have a nice sunny, warm day to shoot. I’m really looking forward to their winter wedding..after so many 90 degree days, I think I will welcome the idea of wearing boots and a winter coat to photograph! Congratulations!

Eau Claire wedding photographer – Gina + Jordan

The day I met Gina, I instantly liked her. She’s outgoing and sweet and we were like buddies when we finally got up and parted ways. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with her and just getting to know her & her equally sweet fiance, Jordan. Their wedding is set for this fall and I am very anxious to have fun with them while they tie the knot.  We shot their engagement session at Banbury Place, and the light was about as perfect as it can get!

Loved her pink heels!
