I always enjoy photographing these two cuties. Lucas turned one recently and he came to the studio with his big sister, Devin, for his one year photos. He was pretty attached to his momma during the shoot, but we did have fun getting him to smile! Devin is so easy to photograph that I always find myself snapping some shots of her while Lucas is getting changed.

If you emailed or called over the weekend, I’m just getting to them now. We took a last minute trip with my husband’s family to the Dells. The kids had a blast! Thank you to my in-laws for inviting us. The resort (The Wilderness) was awesome! We’ll definitely be going there again.
I know we still have about three feet of snow outside, but summer will be here before we know it. It’s time to start thinking about getting scheduled for your kids/family pictures! May and June are already starting to fill up! For summer months, all my Saturday’s are filled for weddings. I will take an occasional Sunday session, but weekdays (especially evenings) are great. I will have special pricing available for May/June. I’m thinking about kicking off Spring by offering a mini-session special on Saturday, April 30th…..Sessions will be discounted as well as print pricing. Meet Gracie..Isn’t she a doll? I photographed her cousin last fall and while we waited for him to change, we had a little fun with the balloons I brought along.
The same night as Gracie’s pictures, I had this grand idea of getting my girls on this old chair outside. . . .
and….got zero cooperation.
I photographed this mini-session last week near Chetek. I photographed Melissa for her senior photos, so it was great to have the whole family in a shot….I give Melissa’s mom credit for getting it organized. I remember doing my memory board for my high school graduation party and the most recent professional family picture I had to hang up, I was about 12 years old in it. Someday I may show you……it would be a tribute on what NOT to wear. Thanks guys, for a fun shoot! I’ve decided to split Life & Style into two divisions! Life & Style Photography will remain the same (photographing weddings and seniors, etc..) but I have been wanting to brand a new kids division, and ta-da! I finally did it! Life & Style Kids will have it’s own website and look. I have some pretty exciting goals with this new business and I just want to say THANK YOU to all my awesome clients who bring their beautiful kids to me for pictures. I have a better way of thanking you now too with a new referral program. And for all of you out there who read this blog but haven’t found the time to get your kid’s pictures taken……now is the time to get scheduled! I will be announcing a new Mini-Session special soon!

These twin boys are turning one next weekend! I photograhed them at three months, and briefly again during a family session when they were six months. It’s always great to see their development progress in pictures. These two boys can walk around now, so it was just a matter of keeping them both contained enough to get some pictures together. Having little chairs and a white couch in the studio sure helps! Kids love to climb on them. Dad brought his guitar too so the boys had some fun with that, and it was Mom’s idea to bring the ties and I must say – I LOVED it. { Mom – save the ties, because when they are 18 we’ll have to take a picture of the boys wearing them again 🙂 } It was good to see you all! This sweetie pie is turning one this weekend. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing his newborn photos, six month , a mini family session, and now his one year. I love to have these little kids over and see how much they have grown. He is a breeze to photograph too, so besides taking his pictures, I get to visit with his mom who is always a joy to have over!
