Charles & Kimberly (Eau Claire Wisconsin wedding photographer)

Charles and Kimberly were married 9-5 in Eau Claire at the Florian Gardens. I do believe that had the best weather of the summer!  It was so comfortable to be outdoors.  This wedding was definitely unique to me in many ways. Charles and Kimberly reside in NY, and the whole atmosphere had an out-east feel. They did their first dance before dinner (something I LOVED), it was a great introduction to the celebration of the evening.   The bridal party had flown in from New York, Arizona, California and other places I have forgotten.  This couple is from Wisconsin, so they were sure to include some Wisconsin traditions….

The guys wanted to go to Phoenix Park. It has a beautiful bridge that is popular for pictures.  Mid-day on a holiday weekend, well, it’s popular to just about everyone. I love the next two pictures.  The groomsmen were all over this…..talking to everyone that walked, or ran by 🙂

Mmmmm….a Wisconsin FAV of mine. Brats and saurkrat.  I think this was the best appetizer I’ve ever had at a wedding 🙂

Sarah & Mark (Bruce, Wisconsin wedding photographer)

Sarah and Mark were married on 8/28 in Bruce, Wisconsin.  I had been looking forward to this wedding ever since talking to Sarah.  I have known her since high school and she has always been the sweetest person. I had no doubt I would have a great time with her and her husband.  Let me tell you – they did not disappoint!  The entire group was so fun.  And, oh my – could they dance!  There is just something so great about a small town wedding….it’s like everyone who lives there comes together to make the day a success.

We stopped at her florist’s backyard for pictures after the ceremony….isn’t it gorgeous?Did I mention that my mom is a caterer? 🙂 She made these delicious cookies for the guests as they left the church.  And yes, they are as yummy as they look!

Thank you Sarah and Mark for including me on your wedding day! Congratulations!

been wondering..

 Have you been wondering where I’ve been?  Look below 🙂  I just returned from Runaway Bay, Jamaica, where I was for the last 4 days, with the most wonderful people, photographing a stunning couple for their wedding.  Much, much more to come…..but first I need to spend some time with  my girls….I missed them so much! These are just a few of the spectacular views of the weekend trip.

Jessica & Eric (Birchwood, Wisconsin Wedding photographer)

This lovely couple was married at Tagalong Golf in Birchwood, Wisconsin on 8/21.  Jessica was such a stunning bride!  I had such a great time with this whole group.  Brent and I had gotten to know Eric’s sister at a wedding a couple years ago, so it was great to see her again.  The entire venue and day was beautiful.  Congratulations!

Oh, if only you could have been there at this moment….the bride is deathly afraid of bees….and one flew near them.  The maid of honor had to hold on to Jessica so she wouldn’t sprint away.  I have an entire series of photos of Jessica in a mad dash to get away, and they are hilarious!

Melanie & Curt {Eau Claire, Wisconsin wedding photographer}

Melanie & Curt’s wedding was in Durand, Wi with a reception following at the Florian Gardens in Eau Claire.  It was such a great day for a photographer!  Both venues were beautiful as were the couple and their beautiful daughter, Hailey.  I was very happy to document their entire day.  Such wonderful people.

{I so badly want a picture like this with me and my two little girls!} 🙂

Emily + Stephen wedding {Eau Claire, Wi wedding photographer}

A wedding can be about a lot of things.  A perfect dress, the perfect shoes, the location, the food, the band…the flowers, the photographer :).  That’s why they take so long to plan.  Sometimes, the meaning of the wedding can get lost in all of the planning. …Lost for a while while the bride is swept up in making decisions and directing people and putting the final touches on her dream wedding day.   I can tell you this.  Emily and Stephen’s wedding had every last detail covered, from the handmade purses, to the shoes, to the last minute purchase of Kate Spade sunglasses, and yet it wasn’t about any of that.  It was about this bride and this groom eagerly waiting to be husband and wife.   I was very lucky to be a part of their wedding day and had the greatest time getting to know both of their families.  Congratulations!

Maria + Eric {Chetek, Wisconsin wedding photographer}

Maria and Eric were married in Chetek, WI on July 24th.  I live so close to Chetek, yet most of my weddings are in the Eau Claire area.  It was nice to be close to home!  This wedding was so fun. The day went so smoothly and I was totally in love with Maria’s dress/hair/makeup.  I was also loving the fact that she’s a Polish girl {as am I :)} and incorporated  polish traditions in her wedding day.  They’re also a very lucky couple.  The day was gorgeous, and the rain held off until dinner. It poured and poured for about 20 minutes…….but after, the sky was gorgeous and we went out on the golf course to get some stunning pictures.

I was taking this {below} picture and thought, Maria looks like she could just lift up to the sky.  The light was gorgeous and you can’t get clouds better than that.

I wish you could hear the music behind this photo {below}.  It’s times like this that it’s hard to stand at the edge of the dance floor and stay behind my camera. I just want to get out and dance. You can definitely count on some polka music at my girls’ weddings and me out on the floor with them like Maria and her mom are!

Ok, for any of you engaged couples reading this blog…check out this below picture.  Eric hit knocked it out of the park on Maria’s wedding gift.  I believe he bought it at Laskers in E.C., and Maria was thrilled with it.  {I loved it too.} I am going to start offering links to great gift websites to help you grooms out. I also am in the works of creating some fun photo jewelry available for wedding presents.
