Kim + Jason – eau claire wedding photography

Kim and Jason’s engagement photos were taken on an evening where I couldn’t have asked for better light.  In between a lot of laughs and swatting bugs, they managed to nail the moment before the kiss creating my favorite image from the session (below).   They were both naturals in front of the camera – making my job very easy and I’m so looking forward to photographing their August wedding!

Jenna + Lee – rice lake wedding photographer

Jenna said she wasn’t even going to go out on New Years, but friends’ convinced her and within minutes she had met Lee and then have been together ever since.  The following New Year’s, he proposed.  I’m very excited to be photographing their July wedding for a few reasons: they are so darling together I can hardly stand it! I know Lee’s Dad as a basketball coach, and I admired him very much while growing up….and finally, Lee’s younger brother inadvertently set into motion the series of events that landed Brent and I together for life.  He’ll hear the story at their wedding I’m sure.  Looking forward to next month..

{vintage} inspired

 This shoot was dreamed up in my mind after a conversation I had with Amanda while shooting a wedding last year at the Florian Gardens. I was telling her about this cute dj ( Midwest Entertainment ) I met named J.D. and she grinned and said, that’s my boyfriend! It wasn’t until I conned my husband into sitting down and watching The Notebook with me that I got the idea to do a vintage-styled shoot. They just had the right look for it. While, Brent didn’t make it through the entire movie, he did totally agree with me about them.  A few weeks later and we had the date picked out and Amanda was totally on board with me. She styled this herself, shopping at Unique Vintage to find that great dress, and picked out a suit that JD already owned to wear. Although, he also never made it through watching The Notebook (he fell asleep:)…he was a great sport for doing this.  I can’t  thank them enough for seeing my vision so perfectly!  (Another post of their downtown photos to come tomorrow!) wedding albums/products

In my efforts to make it easier for my out-of-town brides and grooms to get a feel for what our products look like, I created a photo gallery of {products} on our facebook page. You can see the full gallery by going to www.facebook.com/lifeandstylephotography  I have two new albums I will be introducing very soon, along with some other product details.  We will also be launching a new website that will carry all of these images & information.  So exciting!!

Amy + Scott, eau claire wedding photographer

I met up with Amy and Scott last Sunday to photograph their engagement. They will be married in May and I was looking forward to this shoot because I had not yet had the pleasure of meeting them.  They were both fantastic! Very easy going and braved the cold with out a complaint. I just know their wedding will be a blast!  See these photos AND MORE on our FACEBOOK page.

Jenna + Ben

When you meet Jenna & Ben, you just know they have been together a long time.  Their personalities gel in the way that one could stop talking and the other could pick up the conversation without missing a beat.  Their movements are fluid together making it a total breeze to photograph them.  I look forward to later in the summer when we don’t have the limitations of the snow and bitter cold and I can see these two in action with their wedding attire on.   They have booked my most coveted Saturday for 2011. 8.20.11.  It seems that every other email I receive is a bride or groom wanting to know if I have it available!  I am happy that I can turn the work away knowing that I scored a really awesome couple.   You can see these photos and more by clicking here on Facebook.

{ If they get 20 comments on our facebook page they receive a free 11×14 of their choice!}

chippewa falls photographer

Katie and Adam are getting married this summer in Chippewa Falls. We had a very short window of time to do their engagement session because Katie has been living in Guatemala, teaching their children for nearly two years.  She is back there now, and planning her wedding while in another country.  Thank goodness for internet!  I enjoyed my brief encounter with them and look forward to their backyard wedding when the grass is green and we can put our winter coats away.  Their session was at the Leine’s lodge (one of my favorite places to shoot), and it was cold, but fun to get out of the house and into the fresh air. Enjoy the sneak peek!

{engaged}

Amanda and Isaac are getting married in May. There will be a stark difference in temperature and scenery from their engagement & wedding photos……as they are traveling to Mexico to tie the knot!!
